X-View XV-SD8

The XV-SD8 is an 8 channel PCI express video capture card. The card supports PAL, NTSC and SECAM inputs in both composite and S-Video input formats.

The XV-SD8 supports de-interlaced video capture and display at 25/30 frames per second for real-time video overlays.

Any mixture of input formats can be applied to any input, the card can capture all 8 channels of video at full resolution and frame rates.

The XV-SD8 as a standalone PCIe x4 plug in card, delivers extreme performance with 480MB/s transfer bus bandwidth. This industry beating performance makes the XV-SD8 ideal for a wide range of applications including:

  • Voyage Data Recorders: Capture radar images
  • Simulation / Military
  • CCTV Video Monitoring
  • Video recording and streaming applications

The X-VIEW unified driver allows the card to be used with other applications that use DirectShow Capture filters. The 8 inputs can be either used via crossbar or as direct inputs via driver selection.

The XV-SD8 can be used with the X-VIEW DPXe display wall controllers as an input module and allows for up to 128 video inputs to be enabled within any one system configuration.

When the Video data is displayed on a non X-VIEW graphics card, the XV-SD8 sends the data to system memory or direct to the graphics card, dependant on the software used for display.

For streaming applications the XV-SD8 can be used with Windows Media Encoder to compress and stream captured video. To replay the video, use Windows Media Player.

Any application compatible with Windows DirectShow technology can use the XV-SD8 due to its built-in WDM support.

X-View Scheduler

X-View Scheduler application provides additional system functionality by allowing time and date based layout changes. The scheduler enables an Hourly, Daily and Weekly playlist to be created and loaded and when the scheduler is run the system will automatically change layouts at the preset times.
